What they said is not true. The official record shows something else.

In this system, if 1000 children enter, only about 36 people will get permanent jobs. Roughly 300 will remain unemployed. About 700 will become gig workers.
The 1,000-child pipeline is not an official labour statistic.

What they said
700 of 1,000 become gig workers (70%)
Kota rally · 17 June 2026, 17 Jun 2026
What is actually true
NITI Aayog estimated gig and platform work at about 1.5% of the workforce in 2020–21, not 70% of every cohort.
There is no official MOSPI, NITI Aayog or PLFS table that follows “1,000 children” into 36 permanent jobs, 300 unemployed people and 700 gig workers.
NITI Aayog’s gig-and-platform paper estimated platform and gig work at about 1.5% of the workforce in 2020–21. That is not 70% of every school cohort.
PLFS publishes employment by usual status across agriculture, industry and services, and a national unemployment rate. It does not show 30% of a cohort unemployed and 70% in gig work as a pipeline.
“Permanent job” is not a PLFS category that can be set at 36 out of 1,000. Regular wage/salary work, casual work and self-employment are separate published statuses.
The 1,000-child pipeline is not an official labour statistic.

22 lakh students take the NEET exam. From their families, Rs. 1.32 lakh crore is taken every year. The amount these 22 lakh people pay in one year for one exam equals the Government of India's entire education budget.
A projection is presented as this year's extraction from 22 lakh families.

What they said
₹1.32 lakh crore taken from NEET families this year, equal to the education budget
Kota rally · 17 June 2026, 17 Jun 2026
What is actually true
₹1.32 lakh crore is a cited future coaching-industry size, not a current annual NEET fee bill. It is not the Union education budget.
NTA publishes NEET candidate counts. A figure on the order of 20-plus lakh candidates in a recent cycle is in that official range. That is the only part of the sentence that sits near a real series.
₹1.32 lakh crore is not an official annual bill paid by 22 lakh NEET families for one exam. It is a figure that has been used for a future coaching-industry size, not for this year’s NEET fees.
The Union education budget is a Budget document line. It is not defined as “what 22 lakh NEET families pay in one year”. Those two numbers are not the same official series.
NTA’s published exam fee is a per-candidate charge, not a ₹1.32 lakh crore extraction from one paper.
The 80% figure is not an official engineering-graduate rate.

In a crowd of roughly 3,000 of the best students, only about 1 can become an IAS officer, only about 30 can get into IIT, and only about 180 can become doctors through NEET.
The sentence presents a made-up classroom as if it were official selection data.

What they said
1 IAS, 30 IIT, 180 NEET doctors from a crowd of 3,000
Kota rally · 17 June 2026, 17 Jun 2026
What is actually true
Three different exams mixed into one hypothetical crowd. Final-round IIT allotments are in the tens of thousands, not 30. MBBS seats are above 1 lakh, not 180 from a local crowd.
The line mixes three different national examinations — the civil services, JEE/IIT allotment, and NEET — into one imaginary crowd of 3,000 “best students”. Those papers do not share a single official classroom, city, or year.
IIT admissions are not “about 30” seats. Final-round Joint Seat Allocation for the IITs is in the tens of thousands, published by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority and the Ministry of Education, not by a Kota hall count.
Undergraduate medical intake is not “about 180” doctors from a local crowd. NTA and the Ministry of Education publish NEET participation and MBBS seat counts in the lakh range, not a 180-seat local pipeline.
IAS selection is a multi-stage Union Public Service Commission process with its own vacancy list. It cannot be read off as “1 in 3,000 of the best students” in one coaching city.
