What is actually true
₹1.32 lakh crore is a cited future coaching-industry size, not a current annual NEET fee bill. It is not the Union education budget.
- NTA publishes NEET candidate counts. A figure on the order of 20-plus lakh candidates in a recent cycle is in that official range. That is the only part of the sentence that sits near a real series.
- ₹1.32 lakh crore is not an official annual bill paid by 22 lakh NEET families for one exam. It is a figure that has been used for a future coaching-industry size, not for this year’s NEET fees.
- The Union education budget is a Budget document line. It is not defined as “what 22 lakh NEET families pay in one year”. Those two numbers are not the same official series.
- NTA’s published exam fee is a per-candidate charge, not a ₹1.32 lakh crore extraction from one paper.
